The negative impact of tourism on natural and social environments has begun to destroy those aspects of the destination which attracted the tourist.
Sustainable tourism is compatible with the social and physical structure of the destination and its activities aim to combine at economic profitability with environmentally responsible policies.
L'Ape Giramondo studies and promotes projects to develop sustainable tourism in Friuli Venezia Giulia, such as thematic paths, bicycle trials, visitor centres, etc.
