The
reserve holds a wide range of plant species typical of freshwater,
brackish and saltwater environments. You can check the floodplain
vegetation with poplars, alders and white willow. Also present on
the reserve is one of the last fragments of the lowland forest that
once occupied the plain of Padua. Here you can find pendunculate oak,
white poplar and narrow-leaved ash. Also very interesting is the low
saltmarsh vegetation, adapted to conditions of high salinity, characterised
by species such as the glasswort and the sea daisy. |
