DON'T REFUSE THE REFUSE! Transform it to
create something new! INTRODUCTION
To face the problem of the discharge of refuse the legislation gives
importance to the
recycling of refuse in order to recover some materials.
To involve the pupil in this problem, the co-operative proposes
a programme of three lessons in the class and an educational tour.
TARGET
This project can be adapted to all the classes, depending on the
programme done in the class.
SUBJECT
The subject is the management of refuse. As the recourses of the
world are not unlimited it is very important to educate children
to recycle refuse. Refuse can be transformed in new materials, saving
energy and environment.
METHODOLOGY
Different lessons in the class and a final visit to a incinerator
(if it is possible).
During the lessons the pupils will do experiments to familiarise
themselves with the problem.
The project is composed of four parts:
- refuse and recycling: three lessons of two hours in the
class;
- the paper: from the tree to recycling: two lessons of
two hours in the class;
- the plastic: from petroleum to recycling: two lessons
of two hours in the class;
- organic refuse and compost: two lessons of two hours
in the class.
A complete programme is available for each proposal. |
