Morning : departure from Sistiana, Trieste area. Boat transfer to the panoramic visitor centre by the mouth of the river Isonzo. Coast watching and explanation of the coastal area, namely the Cliffs of Duino, and Duino Castle.

The Cliffs of Duino Reserve features the only example of high cliffs of the northern Adriatic . It includes an area of calcareous high coast, which is formed by fossil-bearing limestone and dates back to the Cretaceous. Moreover, it is characterised by cliffs and inaccessibility to the sea, as well as by short stretches of Mediterranean calcareous screes. The reserve also comprises the sea strait in front of the Cliffs. The famous panoramic footpath dedicated to the poet Rilke falls sheer to the sea, along the edge of the bright white cliffs. The walls' foliage is typically Mediterranean, and what is more, they are home to the Raven, the Blue Rock Thrush, and the Peregrine Falcon.

Morning: horseback or bike tour inside the Nature Reserve
A horseback tour of the nature reserve enables to explore environments, which are otherwise not reachable by foot in less time. Observing the natural reserve on orseback is a unique experience, because it not only means to be guided by qualified staff, but most of all by the horses who inhabit that very environment. It is a way to observe a natural environment from its own point of view.
